Justin, ZO 1146, began his career in travel. First as a writer, primarily covering Asia for AOL/Huffington Post, and second for Delta Air Lines in Revenue Management. During business school at Indiana University, Justin founded Menguin, a digitally native men's clothing rental service. Menguin grew quickly over three years, selling for $25m to the founder of Mens Wearhouse, George Zimmer.
Following his success with Menguin, Justin took on the role of CEO at Buff City Soap, leading an investment into the experiential retailer. Under his leadership, Buff City Soap's enterprise value grew by 2000% in just one year, culminating in a $380m transaction with General Atlantic.
Since 2021, Justin Delaney has led transactions into over 12 consumer businesses, including Helm Boots, Louisville Jerky Co, Stillwater Artisanal, and Halfday. Justin is also a cofounder of several brands, including Party Horses, Gym Snack, Cartainers (exit 2024), and Mugen Spirit.
Justin is a Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at Indiana University (Kelley School of Business) and is an alumnus of the University of North Texas, Indiana University, and Harvard Business School. Justin has visited over 150 countries and is very passionate about connecting brands globally.
